As your family GP practice we pride ourselves in excellent service to our patients at all times.
From the 1st of July 2022 we are changing our fee policy and becoming a fully private billing practice. This means there will be a GAP or out of pocket cost for all patients including concession and pension card holders.
Our new fees are currently under review and will be published here shortly. Please take a look at our new fee policy document.
In order to provide the quality of care that our patients expect and that we strive to provide, the Blackwood Clinic is changing to a fully private billing practice.
Payment in full is required on the day, directly following your consult. Using your eftpos or visa card you can pay the full amount and then our staff will process the Medicare rebate back onto your card. Please note you need to be able to access a cheque or savings account for this process or your Medicare rebate will go back into your account overnight. (we no longer accept cash payments)
Children 12 years or younger will be provided with bulk billing services.
Telephone consults are available for a fee. However if you have not been seen in our practice within the last 12 months you are not eligible for the Medicare rebate.
Reports and Medicals are not covered by Medicare and the account is the responsibility of the patient. Fees are charged according to the complexity of the report requested and time required.
There is a very high demand for appointments, so notification if you are unable to attend is appreciated. Practice policy is 4 hours notice to changes or cancellations of appointments or a fee of $50 may be applied.
